Valuations
Norah Ohrt is an accredited art valuer under THE COMMONWEALTH GOVERNMENT'S CULTURAL GIFTS PROGRAM (formerly the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme)

in the following categories:
  • American and European paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture after 1850,
  • Australian paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture after 1850,
  • Australian ceramics and glass after 1945.
Valuations are carried out for insurance, probate, auction, and market values for beneficiaries of artworks (Capital Gains). Also handled are valuations for institutions, private collections, corporations and individuals. Sotheby's appraisals focus on paintings, porcelain, silver, oriental artwork, furniture and jewellery.
