Perth Galleries artist Peter Davidson is currently based in Japan, and will soon travel to Miyagi Prefecture at Ishinomaki (an area that was hit badly by the earthquake and tsunami) to donate some paintings to the local hospital clinic. A video of the affected area he will be visiting can be viewed here.
Peter has recently sent us a lovely series of still life paintings using objects purchased at the 100 Yen shop (similar to a $2 shop in Australia) as his subject matter. These are currently available to be viewed in the gallery stockroom.
